The Corporate divisions deliver strategic advice and high quality services and support to the department, portfolio Ministers and agencies through a wide range of activities, including information technology, communications, finance, people management and risk management. Made up of four divisions – Information Services, Communications and Parliamentary, Chief Financial Officer and People and Organisational Strategy – the Group collaborates across Treasury and has a strong focus on being responsive, innovative and building a culture of continuous improvement. Foreign Investment division is focused on providing advice on inbound foreign investment issues. An important part of the Division’s work is assessing foreign investment proposals and providing advice and recommendations on these proposals to the Foreign Investment Review Board and Treasury Ministers. This involves engagement across Government agencies and within Treasury. The Foreign Investment Division also oversees Australia’s participation in the investment aspects of international agreements, including implementation of the OECD Guidelines for Multinational Enterprises.
