The National Workplace Relations Consultative Council (NWRCC), provides in the national interest a regular and organised means for senior representatives of the Australian Government, employers and employees to consult on workplace relations and labour market matters of national concern. Originally established in 1977, the NWRCC is made up of 14 members in addition to the Minister for Jobs and Industrial Relations as Chair. Members are appointed by the Minister for two year terms. Under the NWRCC Act, meetings must occur at least in the first and second half of each calendar year.
