The role of the Sydney Airport Demand Management Compliance Committee (the Committee) is to regularly review and provide advice on the effectiveness of the compliance and enforcement tools available to the Minister and the Slot Manager under the Sydney Airport Demand Management Act 1997, the Sydney Airport Demand Management Regulations 2025 and Slot Management Scheme.
The Committee is required to report to the Minister about the allocation and use of slots at Sydney Airport, gate movements at Sydney Airport and compliance with the Act. Its independence and expertise are important for achieving an efficient and competitive demand management system at Sydney Airport.
