The National Blood Authority (NBA) is a statutory agency that manages and coordinates arrangements for the supply of blood and blood products and services on behalf of the Australian Government and state and territory governments. The NBA was to be merged with the Organ and Tissue Authority (OTA), however, as announced at the 2015-16 MYEFO, the Australian Government did not proceed with the proposed merger of the two agencies.
