The Global Agricultural Trade Branch leads the department’s interests in bilateral, regional and multilateral agriculture trade negotiations and engagement with the Americas, Europe and the Pacific on agricultural trade issues. It represents the department at the FAO, WTO, OECD, G20 and APEC.
It leads the department's international engagement in climate change negotiations and the transition to sustainable agriculture production to meet global food security needs. This work is supported by extensive consultation with stakeholders across government, industry and the broader community to advance Australia’s agriculture and international trade interests.
