The National Offshore Petroleum Safety and Environmental Management Authority (NOPSEMA) Board is an advisory board, separate to NOPSEMA which provides advice and makes recommendations to the responsible Commonwealth Minister, relevant state and Northern Territory government energy and resources ministers on policy and strategic matters relating to safety, structural integrity, well integrity and environmental management in the offshore petroleum and greenhouse gas storage sector. Additionally the Board provides advice and recommendations to the NOPSEMA Chief Executive Officer on the operational policies and strategies to be followed by NOPSEMA in performing its function.
