Australian Building Codes Board

The Australian Building Codes Board (ABCB) addresses issues relating to safety, health, amenity and sustainability in the design and performance of buildings through the National Construction Code (NCC), and the development of effective regulatory systems and appropriate non-regulatory solutions, including product certification systems. Chair and Industry Board members are appointed by the Building Ministers' Meeting, with the majority agreement of the State and Territory Ministers. The government and Australian Local Government Association Board members are selected by the entities they represent.
