The National AI Centre (NAIC) was established in 2021 as the Australian Government’s lead body supporting industry to unlock the economic benefits of AI. It works across all sectors but with a primary focus on small and medium enterprises (SMEs), not-for-profits, social enterprises and First Nations businesses to support safe and responsible AI adoption through practical guidance, tools, capability uplift and ecosystem engagement, in line with the National AI Plan.​
