Health
The Advisory Committee on Complementary Medicines (ACCM) was established in January 2010 to advise and make recommendations to the Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA) on the inclusion, variation, or retention of a complementary medicine in the Australian Register of Therapeutic Goods. It replaces the Complementary Medicines Evaluation Committee (CMEC). The Committee advises the Therapeutic Goods Administration on the scientific and policy aspects of the control, supply, and use of complementary medicines with a particular focus on the safety, efficacy (including the efficacy claims made for products), and quality of products.
