Australian Sports Drug Medical Advisory Committee
Health
ASDMAC is a specialist medical advisory committee authorised to consider and, where appropriate, approve applications by athletes for the therapeutic use of substances that are normally prohibited under the World Anti-Doping Agency's List of Prohibited Substances and Methods. The issuing of Therapeutic Use Exemptions (TUE) allows athletes to obtain legitimate access to appropriate medical treatment when they have an illness or medical condition. With the passage of legislative amendments, ASDMAC's membership has been expanded to include three review members.
