The Clinical Advisory Committee (CAC) was established on 26 June 2012, by the Commonwealth Minister for Health under section 176 of the National Health Reform Act 2011.
The Committee provides advice to the Independent Health and Aged Care Pricing Authority (IHACPA) on the implementation of Activity Based Funding for hospital services and clinical matters relating to the development of aged care pricing advice, including classification development and refinement, data collection, policy development and pricing.
