Director of Military Prosecutions

The Director prosecutes service offences and represents the Service Chiefs in proceedings before the Defence Force Discipline Appeal Tribunal. The position of Director is held by a legal practitioner of not less than 5 years' experience, who is a member of the Permanent Navy, Regular Army or Permanent Air Force, or a member of the Reserves rendering full-time service, holding a rank not lower than the Commodore, Brigadier or Air Commodore. Director appointed by the Minister for Defence.
