The Defence Industry Security Branch (DISB) is part of Defence Security Division, managing the Defence Industry Security Program (DISP), including the processing of membership​ applications from Industry entities seeking to join the program. DISB conducts audits and provides assurance that DISP members are meeting their security obligations under the program. The branch also provides support and services to DISP members to help them understand and meet their DISP obligations. DISB works with other agencies (Australian Cyber Security Centre, Centre for Defence Industry Capability, ASIO, AFP) to coordinate Whole-of-Government engagement with Defence Industry, to ensure industry security is addressed in a comprehensive and collaborative way.
