The Circular Economy Division (headed by Kate Lynch) is responsible for a wide range of regulatory and non-regulatory programs which protect the environment from harmful effects that may be generated throughout the product life cycle. From working with industry at the product design stage to identify ways to phase out chemicals of concern or design for recyclability, to end-of-life recycling; our focus is on finding ways to better manage Australia’s waste, prevent air quality and ozone layer depletion, and govern the use of industrial chemicals.
