The Veterinary and Export Meat Branch (VEMB) is a geographically dispersed team of approximately 380 staff.
• Export Meat Section
• Undertakes inspection or certification activity at 330 registered establishments nationally.
• Activities are undertaken by OnPlant Veterinarians, Food Safety Meat Assessors and Food Safety Assessors.
• Live Animals Imports/Exports Section
• Provides veterinary and technical assessments, inspections and certification for live animals and animal genetic material.
