The National Biosecurity Strategy Implementation Committee (NIC) was established to support the delivery of the National Biosecurity Strategy (NBS), which sets the national strategic direction for Australia’s biosecurity system from 2022 to 2032. The NBC is the decision-making body for NBS implementation, and the NIC works together with the NBC to guide, support and provide strategic advice on NBS implementation. The NIC comprises representatives from governments (federal, state and territory, local), industry, peak representative bodies, environmental research, and First Nations organisations
