Forest and Wood Products Australia Limited (FWPA) is a not-for-profit company that provides national, integrated research and development services to the Australian forest and wood products industry. FWPA are committed to helping the forest and wood products industry to be collaborative, innovative, sustainable and competitive against other industries and products available in the marketplace.
The body was declared to be a recipient body for the purposes of the Primary Industries Levies and Charges Disbursement Act 2024 on 1 January 2025. FWPA is paid amounts equal to industry levies imposed and collected under law and matching funds from the Commonwealth under that Act and FWPA has entered into a statutory funding agreement with the Commonwealth under that Act which relates to its receipt, management and application of funds paid to it.
