The Environmental Biosecurity Interdepartmental Group (EBIG) consisting of DAFF, the National EPA and DCCEEW serves as the primary governance mechanism to collaborate and advance whole-of-government environmental biosecurity priorities, strengthening cross-portfolio cooperation, reducing the risk of new exotic pest incursions. The body also supports Australia's biodiversity commitments under the Kunming-Montreal Global Biodiversity Framework and Australia's Strategy for Nature.
