The Workforce, Engagement and Productivity Branch supports Agricultural education, skills and career pathways, including skilled migration and work with Home Affairs and the National Skills Commission; implementation of 2021-22 budget measures, AgATTRACT; migrant worker issues, including exploitation; labour mobility schemes: Pacific Australia Labour Mobility Scheme, skilled migration, working holiday makers; implementation of 2021-22 budget measures under AgFAIR (Fair Farms); classification of agricultural occupations (ANZSCO) and work with the Australian Bureau of Statistics; Secretariat for the AGSOC Agricultural Labour Working Group; implementation of 2019 election commitment, Educating Kids about Agriculture; agricultural productivity; competition; market imbalances; foreign investment; regional policy; and water policy in agriculture.
