The Animal Welfare and Regulation Stewardship focus on animal welfare standards development, including through the Animal Welfare Task Group and for the Standards for the Export of Livestock (ASEL); the renewal of the Australian Animal Welfare Strategy; live animal export technical and policy reviews and development, assurance and stakeholder engagement. Collaborates with stakeholders - including industry, other regulators, researchers, animal welfare organisations and the community, to strengthen animal welfare guidance, regulatory practice and performance.
