The interim Australian Tertiary Education Commission (ATEC) will support and oversee the establishment of the statutory ATEC.
In the 2024-25 Budget, the Australian Government committed to establish an ATEC as a steward of Australia's tertiary education system, in response to a key recommendation from the Australian Universities Accord Final Report.
