Community Policy Branch

The Branch is responsible for researching, developing and providing advice on veterans’ employment, including management of the Prime Minister’s Veterans’ Employment Program; rehabilitation policy settings under the MRCA, DRCA and VEA (Veterans’ Vocational Rehabilitation Scheme), including policy development in relation to rehabilitation; and overseeing provision of nationally accredited training in veteran advocacy, to support ex service organisations to provide nationally consistent advocacy services to the veteran community and associated advocacy policy (including the Veterans’ Advocacy and Support Services Scoping Study), and transition and early engagement model policy, including Joint Transition Authority partnership activities and initiatives.
