The Infrastructure and Project Financing Agency's (IPFA) principal function is advise on alternative funding and financing options to inform better infrastructure investment decisions and build the Australian Government's capabilities to understand and manage project and financial risks.
The IPFA works closely with project proponents, including state and territory governments, other Australian Government departments, including Infrastructure Australia, and the private sector to ensure innovative funding and financing opportunities are identified and developed as early as possible.
The responsible Minister is the Hon Michael McCormack MP, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Infrastructure, Transport and Regional Development.
