The Disability Reform Council ('the Council') was established under the Council of Australian Governments (COAG) and empowered with functions under the Intergovernmental Agreement on the National Disability Insurance Scheme Launch. The Council is responsible for making decisions and formulating advice on matters arising from the launch of the NDIA and matters relating to the implementation of the full scheme. It is a forum for discussion and decision-making between jurisdictions on issues relating to the NDIS. Specifically, the Council will monitor outcomes and the performance of launch sites based on performance and outcome measures agreed to by all jurisdictions. The Council also has a range of responsibilities under the NDIS Act.
