Formerly the COAG Women's Safety Council, this body is now referred to as Women’s Safety Ministers pending transition to the Women’s Safety Taskforce, as part of the new National Cabinet governance arrangements. The Women's Safety Ministers work will cover the following themes consistent with the former COAG Council with the inclusion of a specific focus on the imapct of COVID-19 on women's safety. as outlined below: • Implementation of actions under the Fourth Action Plan of the National Plan to Reduce Violence against Women and their Children 2010-2022 (the National Plan) to prevent violence before it starts and provide support to women and their children. • Development and implementation of the next National Plan, following the expiry of the current National Plan in 2022. • Consideration of other actions to reduce violence against women and their children. • Continue to monitor and respond to the impacts of COVID-19 on women’s safety including the delivery of the National Partnership on COVID-19 Domestic and Family Violence Responses The Office for Women in the Department of the Prime Minister and Cabinet provides secretariat support for the Council"
