The National Faster Rail Agency was established to work closely with state and territory governments on opportunities for faster passenger rail links between major cities and key regional centres in order to advance social, economic and population outcomes. The objectives of the NFRA are to:
• identify and support the development of fast rail connections between capital cities and key regional centres; and
• to work with relevant state and territory governments to deliver faster rail construction projects.
