The Government, through the Department of Industry, Innovation and Science, is currently undertaking a process to establish a National Radioactive Waste Management Facility to manage Australia’s low level and intermediate level radioactive waste.
The Kimba Consultative Committee has been established to ensure constructive dialogue and information exchange between the Government and the Kimba community on issues relating to the process of siting the facility.
The Committee is not a decision-making body and performs an advisory role only.
