The former COAG Energy Council is a Ministerial forum for the Commonwealth, states and territories and New Zealand, to work together in the pursuit of national energy reforms. The Prime Minister announced on 29 May that COAG would be replaced by the National Federation Reform Council. Arrangements for the functions that are delivered by Commonwealth, state and territory Energy Ministers are to be finalised by National Cabinet in the coming months.
