Industry, Innovation and Science
The Government, through the Department of Industry, Innovation and Science, is currently undertaking a process to establish a National Radioactive Waste Management Facility to manage Australia’s low level and intermediate level radioactive waste. The Barndioota Consultative Committee has been established to ensure constructive dialogue and information exchange between the Government and the Barndioota community on all aspects of the project pertaining to Phase Two. The Committee is not a decision-making body and performs an advisory role only.
