The Australian Industry Participation (AIP) Authority is a full time statutory position established by the Australian Jobs Act 2013 (Cwlth.). The AIP Authority's role as defined in the Act is to evaluate, approve and publish summaries of AIP plans for major Australian project, as well as to monitor compliance and report on the implementation of plans. The AIP Authority also provides advice on AIP plan requirements for major Australian Government procurements, loans and grants. The AIP Authority is appointed by the Minister. The current acting AIP Authority is a senior departmental officer.
