Immigration and Border Protection
The Australian Border Force is the operational enforcement arm of the Department of Immigration and Border Protection (DIBP), responsible for investigations, compliance and immigration detention operations, across Australia's air and seaports and land and maritime domains. It brings together the people, capability and systems from across the Department that protect the border and facilitate the lawful passage of people and goods. The ABF is led by the ABF Commissioner, who is Australia's most senior border law enforcement officer.
