The role of the HIV Taskforce is to examine opportunities to eliminate HIV transmission in Australia, and provide advice to the Minister for Health and Aged Care and Government on:
- priority actions that can be undertaken to end new transmissions of HIV and improve the HIV care cascade;
- emerging trends and issues related to HIV in Australia and globally; and
- inform the development of the 9th National HIV Strategy and its implementation.
