Grants Policy

The Branch leads development and implementation of whole-of-government policy initiatives to achieve greater public sector productivity and the efficient use of public resources, through: • Maintaining the Commonwealth Grants Rules and Guidelines and stewarding entities to best practice application of these and the PGPA grants rule for Corporate Commonwealth Entities. • Change management support for grants reforms including supporting entities to adopt standard processes and realise benefits from streamlining grants administration. • Policy refinement of the Streamlining Government Grants Administration Program, including governance, benefits realisation, and implementation of the future state of grants administration. • Providing advice to government on initiatives to increase public sector productivity including the establishment of the Productivity Working Group. • Leading the development of the Preface for Budget Paper Four.
