The Australian Industry and Skills Committee is established by the agreement of the members of the Council of Australian Governments (COAG) Industry and Skills Council as an industry-led body that provides advice on the implementation of national vocational education and training policies. The Committee's role is to provide advice to ensure that the directions taken by ministers are informed by an industry-based perspective focused on the quality and relevance of the national training system.
