Continuous transformation is necessary, not only to find the smarter and faster ways of working, but to ensure we are more integrated and more agile in how we operate and deliver outcomes. We need to continuously ask ourselves: Can we deliver? Do we have the right systems, the right processes, the right structure, the right skills and the right culture? The Defence Transformation Office (DTO) has been established to drive an enduring continuous improvement culture across Defence, through the implementation of the Defence Transformation Strategy and development of the Business Transformation Cycle. The DTO assists strategic centre decision making and informs the sequencing, quality and enduring nature of enterprise-wide transformation by: - Aligning resources to priorities, opportunities and risks through the identification and classification of reform initiatives. - Tracking the progress of reform initiatives and maintaining a cadence of regular engagement to drive accountability and proactively address risks. - Measuring maturity of reform initiatives and the realisation of benefits in order to quantify outcomes. - Enabling a continuous improvement culture through the communication of successes and value of reform.
