The Financial Policy and Farm Business Support Branch develops policies, programs and advice about the primary industry business environment supported by collecting accurate and timely data. This includes targeted assistance to primary producers and their families to help them better manage in hard times, including but not limited to drought, and financial, banking and taxation policy. The branch delivers the Farm Household Allowance (FHA), the Rural Financial Counselling Service (RFCS) Program, the Farm Management Deposit (FMD) Scheme and the Leadership in Agricultural Industries Program. The branch will implement the recommendations of the RFCS Review and the FHA review. The branch has policy responsibilities for the Regional Investment Corporation (RIC).
