The Office of the Threatened Species Commissioner supports the Threatened Species Commissioner to champion the development and implementation of practical on-ground actions to protect and recover threatened species. This includes implementation of the Threatened Species Strategy and policy advice on threatened species investments through the department’s initiatives and programs. The branch also provides policy, program and communications advice relating to the government’s $200 million investment in Bushfire Recovery for Wildlife and Habitat.
