Agriculture and Water Resources
The Queensland Fisheries Joint Authority (QFJA) has responsibility for the management of the following fisheries in all waters adjacent to Queensland: - Gulf of Carpentaria Inshore Fin Fish Fishery - Gulf of Carpentaria Line Fishery - Gulf of Carpentaria Developmental Fin Fish Trawl Fishery. These fisheries are managed in accordance with the provisions of the Queensland Fisheries Act 1994. Membership comprised of: - Queensland Minister for Fisheries, Forestry and Conservation - Queensland Minister for Primary Industries and Fisheries Deputies comprised of: - Managing Director Australian Fisheries Management Authority - General Manager Australian Government Department of Agriculture and Water Resources - Deputy Director General - Fisheries, Queensland Department of Primary Industries and Fisheries - Deputy Director - Fisheries, Queensland Department of Primary Industries and Fisheries.
